BIOTECHNOLOGY – a Romanian pharmaceutical company founded in 1993. The main activity is the production of original medicines and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
BIOTECHNOLOGY has its own research base, whose specialists conduct research in the pharmaceutical sector, as well as in related fields: biotechnology, cellular and molecular biology, dermatocosmetics and the food industry. For the past ten years, BIOTECHNOS has annually participated in the National Research Program of Romania and actively cooperates with European and international companies and foundations. The company pays great attention to innovation: today BIOTECHNOS's portfolio includes more than 24 inventions.
One of the main products of the BIOTECHNOS company is Alflutop - an original drug, an injection solution, which is obtained from small marine fish.
To ensure proper product quality, BIOTECHNOS operates an Independent Medicines Control Laboratory accredited at the European Union level. Since 2005, BIOTECHNOS's quality system has been certified according to the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standard and complies with the provisions of Directive EU/2003/94 CE.
In December 2008, an environmental management system certificate was obtained in accordance with SR EN ISO 140001:2005. Currently, a risk management system has been implemented in BIOTECHNOS.
